Has anyone ever replaced this item? I took this part out this weekend...it seems to have quite a bit of play and makes a knocking noise. I think that it's got a bad berring...but I'm a bit weary of dismanteling the clutch it's self...anyone have a suggestion?

We use to refill the toyota clutches on trucks when i worked as a toyota/lexus tech many moons ago. The trucks would start to over heat because the fan would leak out the silicon over time and would not lockup.. To test we would stick a long wrench in the fan and try to stop. If you could stop the fan easily then it needed to be refilled (btw, you can buy the clutch silicon at toyota). You have to use an impact screwdriver on toyotas because they have philips head bolts. Im not sure on the VX but if you have play between the shaft and the clutch then you probably will have to get a new or used one. Probably for the same price as a new clutch you could install a high CFM electric fan… those clutches are expensive as remember.
