It looks decent in the pictures......

I'd like to put a jet engine-looking thing on the back, like the Batmobile. :-) And maybe have a fender flip out to reveal an imitation Gatling gun. Think people would get out of my way? :-)

I considered it...or even the "simulated wood-grain" version...decided not too tho. I was afraid it would look to cheesy. if you give it a try, post your results. I'd like to see how it really looks instead of some ad photos....

I've got the black/grey interior so it might match up nice. $165 though!?

Ron has a couple of trim plates he sells for around the shifters if you wanted to start a bit more low key and see how you like it...

Um, anybody thinking what I'm thinking about those vertical door kits on the site VXRaNgEr posted about? :-) Just a bit overpriced, though. We could fab those things... :yes:

Since Rickster is possibly getting a set of hinges made, we should wait and see what the cost from his supplier would be? You may want to contact Dallas at Stinkyfab.com and see if he could fabricate them for less. Just a thought.

Dood... where do these kids get the cash for this stuff? I mean, maybe they actually do make a crap load of money and have great priorities, but I feel like I make decent money and have a good lifestyle, and there is NO WAY IN HELL FIRE I could afford to buy a new 350Z and do stiff like that to it... at least, not unless I just pay the bills and save every dime of my money for a year or so.
By the way... it is a nice mod.

That x-wing is bad. I like the powder burn accents near the end of the barrels. Look! He has 5 snowflake "kills"!

That X-wing car is really tacky, but at the same time, I kinda like it... go figure. :-)
Now I want to see an Imperial fighter...

39 pieces might be overkill. One big shiny cockpit of aluminum;wtf;
What i plan to do tomorrow is take off the console around the shifter and paint it to match the gray trim around the dash. If it is a success, i'll post pics, if not, i'll cry. I'm also gonna try and pick up two gray shift-boots to match. Man, had this thing 2 days and i've already de-badged it and fudged with the interior...i am a sick puppy:goof:

Am I imagining things, or did I see a peice of trim on the passenger side airbag?! THATS not a real good idea... if I'm wrong... and there isn't a peice on the airbag... I'll go smoke more of that crack! Later!

Yeah, nothin like a piece of aluminum embedded in your girlfriend's head after a fender-bender! ;oop;
Off topic (i'm in the process of painting), do those Nitto's have a higher sidewall than stock? Thinkin about swappin, but don't want to mess with speedo, etc...

Yeah, my baby sister is dating a guy with a 2004 350Z with over 20 grand in aftermarket parts. That's all his money, not from mommy and daddy. Crazy huh??

Its done by a coating process applied to the exising dash pieces which you have to send away to the company.
You can find more info HERE (http://www.exoticwooddash.com/coating.htm)

Is the Z paid for in full? There seems to be a trend of leasing vehicles, modding them to whatever degree, flogging them and finally restoring back to stock, turning them back in to the dealer and selling the add-ons.
Or just modding them before their actually owned.

That dude must make crazy money and not have much to pay for. My wife and I make pretty good cash, own a house, pay for our autos, and do what we want... but there is NO WAY I could throw down $20k on any car, and I'm 29 years old. I'm not saying these youger guys can't be making $80k and living in a shack or something, but jeez. I'd like to LEARN something from them if they have something worth while to teach!

You can do it in you driveway too. Like to see it on my dad's

The Z is paid for--no loan. Keep in mind that this guy doesn't have any other living expenses and doesn't own anything but the car with mods. He lives with my sister in her townhouse that she owns and doesn't pay one cent. Everyone thinks, look at him he's rich just because of the car he has. Hell, if I didn't own a 200 grand home and 4 other vehicles (wifes car and 3 street bikes) I could be driving a car that would make his Z look ghetto. Some people just don't have the right priorities.;)

Naaaa, I'll pass on the plastic aluminum stick on crap. Now the scissor door is quite an idea. Seems like it would fit the car really well. Plus, it's a really easy fab. We've done it at the shop for a guy(Honda) Don't know why I never even considered it before. Thanx... :D

Our doors are about as square as you can get. Scissor doors won't look good.
