Portland, OR meet 1/31/04

I have not seen a NW event posted in a while so I would like to have a get together for all that are interested on Saturday 1/31/04. Just a casual meeting to make new friends and talk about our vehicles.

Event details are up for debate.

I thought meeting at a pizza restuarant would be a good venue, however, I am open to anything.

Location: Portland metro area. I thought that this would be a good central meeting area.

Time: Say 4:00pm. Again open for debate.

Please post your opinions on good places to meet, or I will be force to just pick a place. :)

Sounds good, but all I can do is talk since the VX is in Cal.
We would spend the day in Portland and stay at a dog friendly motel. Do you know of one?

This is a good location near the river for photo opportunities.

Hey Brent - I vote for the BridgePort Brew Pub, unless the beer will offend? I have never been there, nor that Pizzicato, but the atmosphere at the brew pub should be more casual and laid back. At Pizzicato we may be too loud for some others there (families sitting right next to you).

Ok, I finally figured out how to post this as an event on the calendar. I posted it as 4:00PM Saturday at BridgePort Brew Pub. Does this sound good? If we change our mind I can go back and edit the event.

Of course it doesn't offend me if others choose to drink beer. That would be silly of me. I don't like it when others try to impose their standards on me and would never do that to someone else. As long as you don't try to get me to drink beer, I will be perfectly happy - I'm looking forward to meeting other Vehicross owners...

I think the BridgePort Brew Pub will work out best. So now we need to know how many people can make it... I really hope we can get some good numbers.

I wanted to post real quickly and say I will not be able to make it to the meet. I just got a call about my father, in Houston, having to go into the hospital. They aren't calling it a heart attack right now, but I have a feeling that's what it is.

I'm looking up flights out today from Portland to Houston, and will have to catch you guys another time.
