Got my VX back last night with some more modifications done:

TOD disconnect... sweet got sideways this morning, Not used to going that way in my VX scared me a little you get used to the four wheel drive getting you out of those sticky situations. Punching it with the SC it feels faster off the line. I think I might pony up for the factory TOD button, but it expensive.

Finished hacking up my Hotshot intake and also used a VW chrome intake to make a nice new chrome intake. Need to finish the top of the heat shield. Look really good with the red and polished SC and the red couplings and such.

Replaced my stock tape deck with a Kenwood Z727 and put it in where the 6 disk changer went.

My 3 other autometer gages went where the tape deck was, my bud did an amazing job look factory fresh! Wait till you see the pics, really looks nice!

Tone’s seat extender in also - much much better for getting the kid in that back now, but leg room up front is sacrificed a little but not too bad if your under 6 foot.

Installed a new fuzzy hole with factory switches for the fog lights and tailgate popper.

Installed Darlington Performance Rear Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines. Brakes feel REAL nice with the front SS lines and now rear SS lines, Sport Pads and Powerslot rotors.

Made my side markers blink with the turn signals, like this mod.

Did the window binding fix from Paul Hines, worked like a charm.

I just wanted to share.

Will post pics tonight or tomorrow.

I love my VX!

How does your TOD disconnect switch work and what is the result....full time 2WD or full time 4WD?

Here are some good posts about it, It is rear wheel with it off very tail happy! :) Got to drive all day yesterday with it off, and it certainly feels faster. love that you can smokem and get a little sideways around corners with a blip of the throttle, having such a short wheel base & all... just be careful in the rain and such.

I think I am going to by a defroster switch and scrape off the image and paint on TOD so it will look factory, rather than that ugly red switch I used.

Hmmm, just how difficult is this override switch to route? Sounds like something I would like to commit to this spring. No real need for TOD without snow and offroading around here. I read Bob's thread, and it sounds like something that can be done on a nice day (not like I will have one around here till April at least!) in the driveway with the right gear.

Is there any downfall, besides knowing the VX's control change, to having the TOD override?
