I'm picking up my VX tomorrow, (seller has to have it smogged) and have a rack question. Is it hard to find one for the VX? It isn't listed on any of the sights as an option (Thule or Yakima). I need a way to get my surfboard on my VX, since this is going to be my Baja surf wagon. I don't need anything special, just a way to get my board around. Thanks.

I was just thinking about that the other day. A woody VX Baja wagon. LOL! ;Dy; Only the dealers sell them.

First one to post a picture of a VX Woodie wins!

I don't want a Woodie, but the main purpose for buying a VX will be Baja surf trips. (and looking cool)

I think the racks like on an Ironman would work.

The racks are Yakima racks, but they were specifically designed for the VX. You can get them from your local dealer or you can try St. Charles Isuzu. The link is in the left of the main screen here. I can tell you now that their not gonna be cheap. They do work great though, I have Yakima bike holders on mine. I have also hauled carpets, beds, a treadmill, and a car hood strapped down to them. They'll haul a surfboard no problem! Good luck.:D

Post how much they cost once you get a quote. That way everyone will know how much they need to lay out for them.

The WING mounts from Yakima will let you mount up just about any Yakima (and a few Thule) attachments.

Check out my gallery for roack shots...

You just get an Extended load warrior by Yakima( after you get the Factory cross rails) and you can get any attachment from Yakima to fit on the Load Warrior...

Cool. Thanks man. That was what I was looking for.

I just ordered it. $288.06, with free shipping.

you ordered the Load Warrior? Did you order the extension too?

you will thank yourself later for the extra space.

oh and make sure you ordered the locks for the Load Warrior too...kind of an expensive thing to let someone walk away with cause you were skimpy and not bought locks. They come in one package with only two locks...Yakima's idea is that you caddy corner the locks..but I bought two packages with four locks and now I rest a little easier.
