Was just watching a show on the tube that was showing the new concept vehicles. They showed the Ford Bronco concept. Pretty sweet. Has a modern 70's bronco look, huge tires and serious engine. The engine is a turbo diesel with nitrous! I think I could own one of these.
Check it out (http://autoshow.edmunds.com/news/autoshow/articles/100916/page012.html?tid=edmunds.e.autoshow..leftnav.13.*)

Love it! You bet it's a Ford!

I'm wondering if the same folks who like that toothy box of a bronco concept are the same ones who like pontiac azteks.

They are both repulsively orthagonal (too many right angles, not enough curves).

Eeewww! The concept Bronco, while angular, is FAR better looking to the (ugh!) Aztec. Not even apples to apples. More like utility box to cow manure!;Do;

Well, the same ones that are posting on here that like it also own VX's... as well as myself (yup, I like it too). I wouldn't make fun of my own family! ;)

By my reckoning, people who like the bronco are not going for an attractive ride, they like it because it is scary. I can understand that desire, being intimidating has it's advantages.

I was just wondering if the people who like azteks are enjoying the scary aspect of the vehicle or if there is another attraction I have overlooked.

The ;) means I'm joking... kinda. Not being touchy.

I don't think it is scary, and I like it's design. I don't like Azteks, and I like the Bronco.

There are very few SUVs that I would crawl over to get to this fat ugly cubist pig.http://www.auto123.com/ArtImages/20285/inline_02.jpg :goof:
It may not be on the bottom of new SUV styling,... but it is certainly very near that bottom.

Now this is progressive SUV styling!!http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/12h/www.edmunds.com/media/news/concept.car/toyota.rsc/toyota.rsc.prof.175.jpg http://www.users.qwest.net/~pempem/jitter1.gif
Of course this is just my opinion, and thank goodness I am never in the majority.:winko:

Yeah, I wish Toyota would put that into production.:D

Okay!
I HATE the Asztrec!
The Toy is nice....for the road or ralley racing.
The Bronco just looks like it was made for off roading and running over small Toyotas!:nuke:
But it would never replace my VX.

I just want the Toyota RSC to park next to my VX in the garage. Now that would look awesome.:D

On another note: What happened to the cars we were promised anyway. Shouldn't they be flyin' by now, it is the 22nd century for crying out loud????

Yea, they were trying to revive the ole' Landcruiser. Not a bad idea, it just needs to be another color instead of sissy blue. Toyota comes to the table with lots of great concepts but rarely ever puts them into production. What a shame?:(

Hey a buddy of mine who works at Viper Tech in CA did the machining for the BRONCO. Which included the front grill, tail-gate, wheels and some other parts. I actually got to see the grill and tail-gate before Ford did. Personally I like the Bronco why anyone would even compare it to an Azcraper I have no Idea.:cool!:

Very cool! ;py; I don't think I ever saw the Toy FJ concept. In these pics it's hard to tell if the front extends too far in front of the front tires for good off roading.

Also I'm not a big fan of these W-I-D-E bodied SUVs. They look great, but most places I go, the VX size works perfect. Goin' wider?...... No way!

btw:The FJ Cruiser concept was designed at Calty Design Research, Toyota's North American design center in Newport Beach, California.

...Too many more stylish choices for me to consider the Bronco concept as a contender for my auto buying dollars. So although I wouldn't buy one, I sure wouldn't mind driving the HE77 out of it as a beta tester

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, sure it's ugly, but in a utilitarian, fold/spindle/mutilate approved sort of way. That truck is begging to get torn up by mother Earth, much like a pick axe or shovel. A tool for pioneering the great outdoors is what it looks like, ready for abuse. In that way the new bronco calls to me... to abuse it :naughty: Yes I would run that Bronco concept ragged  , but i wouldn't be caught dead in a AZZtec :noo:

I'm glad they are still into the boxy thing. The last thing I want to see is a bunch of bubbles driving around. I like the concept but believe its a little underpowered.
