saw these on his website, as well. NICE! i'm guessing he would probably offer them along w/his other VX accessories. wonder if he'd be able to locate any OEM accessories left out there (if any)? Naoki? :?:

I'll be helping Naoki sell /ship those in the US - should be up on my site in the next week or so along with a rear wing to replace our spoiler for those who are interested.

He even might be able to make them in chrome....
PS Jose, if you`re still interested in that last piece of OEM hardware we talked about in our previous mails, then give me the word and I`ll ask Naoki to send it.;)

I wonder if they are available in a NON carbon fiber look. Not too interested in CF. I guess one could always paint them.

I think they`re available in normal unpainted FRP.;)

You need to have Japanese fonts installed.
An English page is in the make!

I was snoopin' on Naoki's site and was wondering if you could clear up a couple questions.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, but whatup with the magnets, gold foil and magic rocks ?
Also, what is the device on the exhaust flange?
Thanks.
P.S. how's the fam?
Eckstream

Tone.... Any thought about bringin any of those exhausts over? Id be interested cuz the pvs are too loud..... Id love to see how those sound.....
SPAZZ
02/09/2004, 08:36 PM
if you install a powervault and still have a stock exhaust tip, it greatly helps by getting rid of it for one that does not megaphone the sound.... hard to say.. but I changed out my exuast tip and it is WAY better on the sound now...but is still too loud.
Bottom line for all of you out there who enjoy the quietness of the stock muffler, if your like the quiet ...the powervault is NOT for you

SGT.BATGUANO, the Fam is doing great, the missus` belly gets bigger, the sex gets less...:( you know the usual "pregnant" stuff.
No complains, found out it`s gonna be a boy!
http://homepage3.nifty.com/vehi/powerup/dscf0113.jpg
this is a minus ion sheet, it generates minus ion. It is said to improve torque.(according to the manufacturer)
http://homepage3.nifty.com/vehi/powerup/DSCF0514a.jpg
this is called ariel tape, it improves the fuel consumption and provides a slight power increase.(according to the manufacturer)
http://homepage3.nifty.com/vehi/powerup/DSCF0203a.jpg
This is called a toll marine power sheet and again it generates minus ion
The thing on his muffler is, a device with which you can change the sound of the muffler, you push a little button and the muffler quietens with slightly decreased power, and reverse.
And so there`s much more...
Naoki put it in it`s car with the thought of "at least it can`t be bad"
But since he has the S/C and the awesome AES muffler(+25 hp, measured et all), he really doesn`t feel the difference anymore.

What about the "magic rocks" in the foil around the fuel rail?
Congrats on your son to be!

Well, I know deionizing water (the Mr. Clean stuff) will avoid water spots after washing your car, even drip-drying it!
That's gotta be worth some extra horsepower too...

Updated... still not sure if i like them... Might if they were all black for my Ebony VX or chrome? Or the Cladding color I bet would be perfect for me.

Damn shame blue lights are illegal on cars. :p
Red would look pretty tight in there however.
I do like that black finish. Keeping my eye open on this one.
updated my photoshop with his new black cover...
VERY nice...

Naoki just emailed that they are due out of production late next week and he would have pricing at that time. I will have them added to my page as soon as I can.

I just met Naoki, and he was on his way, to check out how much the chrome version is gonna cost.
The black one is FRP and paintable in any colour you like!:D
I also think that the LED`s can be changed into another colour, or just the holes, so you can put your own ones in it..!
I am going for the C/F version though....their absolutely gorgeous!

Will these be sold in the glossy black, pre-made? Are the LED's a buyer add-on, or will they be sold pre-made this way also?

Tone will do the distribution inside the US for all Naoki`s products as of now.
this has as advantage that the shipping costs will decrease and the shipping speed increase;)

Yeah, but WHEN???
got cash in hand waiting for a black one
Covers are on their way and I hope to have ordering up on my site this weekend. I am asking them to send a few sets in advance to quell any fears some of you might have with sending money overseas. If you could email me directly which covers you want, I'll make sure the correct number get sent over.
Sweet! any idea how much they will be?
Also cannot decide what I want Gloss Black or Chrome?
Tone if and when the come in can you take a photo of the on or next to your ebony so I can see which would be best for my ebony?
My photoshop skills are not enough for my to decide.
Thanks!

Price is a definite factor for me as well!! Tone, do we have to wait until you get them before we find out what the cost is going to be?? I'd like a set of the CF ones (price dependant). Also, are you going to be selling the CF door sills also??
:?: :?:
Thx,

my figureing of cost:
Normal price of tailight covers for other vehicles: $50
Shipping from overseas to hear (bulk rate per piece): $5
Tone manageing project (time and effort): $10
Shipping to Cont US: $10
Haveing mod that everyone wants that doesnt read this board: PRICELESS
So about $75 - $100 is roughly what i see them going for.
EDIT: price does not reflect carbon fiber pieces

Sounds reasonable----although I'd rather hear it from the one selling them?!?!
:thanx:
I already purchased the CF halfmoon directly from Naoki a few months ago---rapid shipment from Japan; & all was great without a middleman/transit point!!
Prices please for the CF covers & CF doorsills???

Either way it gets done, I'm in. I think black on Ebony, the chrome would be too gaudy. Carbon fiber maybe... could always paint them to match.( Love havin' a paint shop)

How about black nickel instead of chrome?
Chopper
03/06/2004, 05:04 AM
Black nickel will definitely work. Think wiring the LEDs to a seperate, dedicated switch, may be wise 'specialy in blue.
