Can you explain in more detail about it?
If you havent you may want to do a search on hood squeaks for one possibility.

I had the same problem. Retighten latch and grease friction points, that should help. White grease in a spray can works well.

I had the squeek bad and I cleaned the rubber bumpers that the hood closes on and the spots on the hood where it touches and then sprayed silicon spray from the autoparts store on them and it's been nice and quiet ever since. I love this board because I find these solutions here!

Sound travels through the body in strange ways so try the hood bumper and latch thing anyway.
It's also been reported in the past that the sway bar bushings can squeek if dirt gets between them and the bar. Get thee some silicone spray with extension tube and spray between the bushing and bar.
Alternatively, you can spray control arm and shock bushings too. Be careful not to get the silicone spray on the brake rotors.
Rubber and silicone spray..... 'mmm good!:)

I had the same problem and could not tell where it was originating. I siliconed and lubed so much stuff and the squeek went away temporarily every time. I finally wrapped some stick-on velcro (soft half) around the hood latch bar. It is the part on/under the hood that fits into the latch mechanism when the hood closes. That connection is the source of your squeek - I'll bet money on it!
This has been the only fail-safe remedy.
Good Luck!

Same thing happened to me.. and I replaced the hood molding with rubber... hahaha it was just the hood latch!!!! But it sounded like the thing was falling apart.

I've had a squeak since the Uwharrie meet and would've bet that it was the bushings. I've messed around trying to get the hood to squeak and never could. I wrapped my hood latch anyway to see what would happen. In two days I have not heard a squeak. I will try to remember to keep the radio off for a bit and listen more to be sure, but I think it's gone. :-)

hey I'm glad I read this thread sometime back, making a mental note, hoping that our VX won't suffer 'noises'..well after driving in rain and leaving out in the rain for 2 days...squeak !! squeak !! from the f/end every little bump..my wife looked at me glearing.."Oh it'll be the bonnet".. he said knowingly ;) ....sure enough, whilst closed I just moved it up and down a little and there it was, so I popped the bonnet /hood..saw there was a remaining dob of grease still sitting on the mechanism, so using the digit I carefully moved more of it to the 'contact' point...dropped the hood, drove on waiting for the squeak to return...silence continued...wife looks to the husband with a trusting smile  ...but then as we cruised on, something catches the corner of our eye at the same time...the headlight seal has just let go and is just hangin on and is flicking around the hood like an angry snake at 80kph..damm  .. pull over and adjust accordingly with closest tool ..the ignition key ;oog; ..all secured even upto 110kph test !!!.
..AHHHH ...just another day of fun brought by the VX !! :p ;)

A similar solution stopped my squeek a couple years ago. Every couple months I have to relube those bumpers.

I wouldn't view that as a problem! It's nice to know you're not alone in some cases and that we can all help each other out :)
Imagine if you had this huge problem and no one else was experiencing it! Where would you be then ;)
