Hello everyone, I live in South Texas (McAllen) and own a silver 99 (production# 1925). I have seen more about 4 or 5 V-Cross aside from mine in the area. I have never been able to stop and talk to those people, but I know they exist. Are any of you in Texas?
Later,
 :cool:Julio

Actually there are a lot of us and we try to get together 4 or 5 times a year at my place in Katy (west of Houston) or in Austin. I know it may be a bit of a drive for you but new folks are always welcome. If you use the "members" forum here and look at the Texas geographical location on the map you'll see Scott has listed some owners state wide. If you decide to ever make the trip this way just let us know and chances are Tone can have mods waiting for you (saves shipping costs & you get first hand directions)

There are tons more people from texas that arent listed on the geographical search. As for me, I'm from Wichita Falls. Theres an ebony VX around here but I have no idea who it is.

Not yet, but if you want to set something up, maybe. You ever come down to the Valley?
p.s. - Right you are, we don't need no stinking MODS...

I would like to have one down here in the Rio Grande Valley. I was able to get in touch and meet another VX owner in my area, but there are others. I am now a man on a mission. Tell me how you feel about coming down here, remember that we have South Padre Island too.
Regards,
Julio

Hopefully we will be planning something for late May (early June) after the multitudes return from Moab and get a chance to rest up. I'll make a post as the time get closer & hope you can attend.

Well,
Finally got to meet JAG down here in McAllen. I tell you, it was quite an experience. We discussed how we always turn heads driving around, but yesterday, with our VXs parked side by side at the Denny's parking lot... well, people we having whiplash! While we were chatting many of them also honked their horns too!
Like I said before, now I am a man on a mission. I would like to create a club down here in the Valley. Jag and I are already thinking of ways to find the other VX owners we have or "haven't" seen around these parts. We are also thinking on making or getting stickers of this website, to inform others and maybe attrack them here. That way we would be able to communicate with them.
More to come later...
Julio
And what an experience it was. Great meeting you (finally), Julio! Had a blast talking to ya and sharing my fanatic VX interest.
Personally, we should of charged for the rare "VX" view we gave passers-by yesterday. Would help fund the improvements we discussed.
Of course, my favorite is the gentleman that walked up to us whom wanted to put the case of soda he was carrying on your VX. What nerve! :D
Looking forward to our next meeting.
And of course, thanks to Scott et al for having this site and board up. As Julio mentioned, we had already seen each other a couple of times on the road -- but this site allowed us to coordinate our schedules so as to finally meet in person.

Add me to your lists of Texas VXers. At least by Tuesday I should be an owner. Got the money in hand and plan to pay cash for one in Dallas. I live well north of Dallas though, in Sherman, Texas. I'm honestly too poor to be VX owner. But somehow I will get by. I just had to have it. heheh
I'd love to get together sometime in Dallas with other VX owners. It is only an hour drive for me, though I can't do that too often.
