I am one car length behind a WRX at 70mph then the WRX really pulls away. I think most of the improvewment from the SC was in 0-60, since I can tear racers apart on the street, but then go out to the 1/4 track to get beat by the same car.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VAPORITE VAPORIZER (http://www.vaporizers.net/)
.... definitely not against a WRX STI .........
.
the WRX STI will go to 60 under 6 seconds .........
.
1/4 mile in the mid 14's .............
.
a few mags had it under 5 seconds (0-60) and in the 13's (1/4 mile) .....
.
the WRX STI is one nasty automobile .......... some would say nasty looking also ......
.
..... back to the VX ........
.
the VX 0-60 times at one time were right up there with the faster SUV's - the Mercedes, Jeep GC V8, and the Explorer with the SOHC engine ..... (according to Car and Driver test results)
.
the VX is helped (considerably) in this area with the low (4.30 or whatever) gearing ......
I've done low 14s at the track in mine...but certainly not with big rubber, kinda defeats the purpose of going to the track IMHO!

the sti should be able to do into the ~13s in 1/4 and the ~5s in 0-60...i mean the wrx can do 0-60 in 6.4 and tats with 227 hp...now add on another 73hp...

Just for the heck of it... per Car and Drive, the quickest 0-60 time they recorded on the WRX is 5.4 sec. A new one they brought it did 5.9. The STi Type RA Spec C does it in 5.1.
.... if they could only wrap some 'more pleasing' sheetmetal around the WRX .........

Ok - From a dead stop - 0-60 - 9.5 seconds
Vx has PV muffler and the Power button was on.
Of course this was done scientifically - I was driving, buddy in the car..... I hit the gas and 9.5 mississippi's later..... BAM!!! 60 mph.

I get 15.9x in the 1/4 mile. Alright Tone whats the secret to 14.xx's? I am going to try the TOD disconnect and front drive shaft dissconnected this summer, and see what it will do. Maybe I should shed my 175lb speaker box in the back LOL!

Last time I remeber when someone asked this question I think he replied along the lines of "Come to MOAB to find out;pg;"
And that was the end of it :deadr:
Hey tone, changed yer mind since last year? ;)

Edit: Besides the SC & PV he also has an interceptor (the tranny shift enhancer) Sucks it did not work on mine tho :(

I have all the above on mine as well and, although I haven't dyno'd or run on the track, I can tell you the power is extremely nice!

I have all of the above on mine too, but I am not running 14's I could shed some weight for sure but don't think I will get to the 14's. BTW, I remember that statement before, but it's pretty unlikely I will ever make it to MOAB. :( Is your track downhill? ;) Or is ours uphill? LOL:D

Used a Beltronics Vector fx2 for the numbers
0 to 60 7.5
1/4 mile 15.8 @ 87 mph

At low 14's at that point were you running the NOS? I read here somewhere you had a NOS at one point.
In my opinion NOS makes me very nervous, I've heard to many stories of blown engines.

i was about to post the same reply ... and the 92X uses the 2.5 block instead of the 2.0 block, so there is a lot of potential left in the engine for modification.
however, i still don't consider that car 'attractive' either.

Whew, a blast from the past, hahahaha....
Ya know, it has me thinking though. I wonder if AP updates and other mechanical mods would work on a Saabaru. Probably not so much NOW, since I believe GM is now overlord of Saab, or is it they are back in control of their own company again.... I don't recall. But, if they are still sticking with the same Sube guts and WRX mods work on it, you could have one sick arse Saab.
Oh, um.... VX.... 0-60..... in mine..... never. In DC traffic, you never get to 60. :p

I don't remember where I read it, but the current Saab started it's life as a Pontiac G6 - same factory, same chassis...
