I was checking Ebay for VX stuff and came across a bunch of these aftermarket ground systems. What's up with that ? Am I way off or is it just a waste of money. I liked the one ad stating that it will improve gas mileage and performace :p

A lot of people talk trash about them, but I have a buddy with a Subaru STI who makes kits of them for people. His Idle is alot smoother, engine seems to rev a tad bit happier, accessories dont seem to lag the engine as much when they kick on (alternator, A/C, Lights, etc). I would not recommend dropping dinero on them for the price, but you can easily make your own.

Well, it makes sense that a good ground is important... any resistance that is within the grounding point(s) will create voltage drops, creating inefficiency... I wouldn't spend a ton of money on their kits on eBay, but I plan to add extra ground straps from motor, frame, and body along with a good negative cable on my VX whenever I might get the new motor in for good... I will be running Monster Power 2gauge cable from power and grounds. If there is any difference in performance though, I wouldn't expect it to be perceivable. Just my two cents.
