Does the SC (that many on this site installed on their VX) produce the 'whining' ...... 'whirring' ..... noise ..... that many SC's produce ?
.
At a minimum, I would expect the SC mechanism (straight cut gears, etc) to produce some noise ..... maybe similar to a Jackson Gear Drive installed on a small block Chevy ......

yep under boost she makes a whirring noise... and it makes me ;Dy;

Yes my SC makes a whining noise when it spools up also. It is more noticable when I am running my Calamini Cone Filter then when I run it through the stock air box. It too makes me :)

Yes, noise is caused by nose gear backlash.
