KeyFob Programming

In earlier posts there is detailed info about programming a second keyfob, however not quite detailed enough for a ninny like me.

1. Exactly where is the alarm box with the green button you hold down?

2. Is there some way to make sure that my original fob keeps working? Something I should do, or not do, in the procedure?

My 2nd keyfob came today and I used procedures scattered throughout the forum to program it. In the interest of making it easier on the next guy/gal I posted the complete instructons in the howto section.

Thanks man. This is exactly the info I was looking for! Did a yahoo search and this site popped up. Looks like there's tons of good Vehicross knowledge here so I signed up. Anyway I just got a remote from ebay too but the programming instructions were wrong so thank you very much for taking the time to summarize your tested procedure here.
