Windshield wiper arms

Can anyone tell me if there is a trick to removing the wiper arms? I want to paint them but would not want to mess them up on removal or installation.

Pop the little cover-button with a small, thin-bladed screw driver. Take a socket, either 10 or 12mm, and remove the mounting nut. Lift the arm gently to remove tension while keeping a hand at the base, then wiggle a bit to remove from drive shaft. Reverse procedure to re-assemble, but put a dab of synthetic grease on drive shaft to make future removal easier and prevent corrosion.
