I am getting ready to purchase some Goodyear Fortera HL tires for my VX. I can get a better deal if I purchase two sets. Is anybody interested in buying the other set? They are size 245/60R18. They are new car take-offs from a tire/wheel dealer that replaces factory wheels/tires for a new car dealership. They have at most, 20 miles on them.
They will be right around $460 for four of them, plus shipping. Shipping should be between $45 and $85, depending on where you live. They would normally cost between $165 and $195 per tire, so this seems to be a steal to me.

Go to this site to check them out: http://www.discountpartcenter.com/
Check out the ratings on this tire, it rates #5 out of the 70 truck tires it was compared to. They are good looking tires as well.

Let me know in the next day or two if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Neal

I just talked with the guy, and it looks like we can get them for $410 if someone else decides they want a set. Let me know ASAP.

I agree. There are some better options.
.
I think my 'budget' tires are a step up:

.
Mastercraft tires are manufactured by Cooper. The 255-55-18 Mastercraft Courser HTR Plus was a tad over $100 per tire - mounted and balanced .... including lifetime balancing and rotation. The tire looks good, rides good, and is relatively quiet. The sidewalls are especially 'beefy' and have a raised area to protect the rim.
.
My previous experiences with Cooper truck and SUV tires have been positive.
.
My previous experiences with Goodyear truck and SUV tires has been negative.

Those Mastercrafts don't look bad, but I have already committed to buying these. I also could not find a dealer of Mastercraft tires in my area.

I read several reviews where people really like the Goodyear Fortera. I thought for that price, it was worth trying them out. I will let you all know how they work out.

I have had one good, and one bad experience with Goodyear truck tires in the past. Hopefully this one will turn out good. I am going to get them tomorrow if anyone else decides they might want the other set.
