What would be the best way to get my wheels/tires out just a little furter? Of course, I want to keep my stock 18" rims. I just want the edge of the tires to be flush with the outside edge of the cladding. Can I just put some sort of spacer behind the rims? If so, does anyone know the brand and/or model #? I guess that I would then also need longer studs. (That's what she said)

Thank you in advance,
Neal:confused:

i know that some guys i used to run classic cars with used to use spacers and it ruined quit a few axles, wheels, and hubs. it acts like a lever since you are moving out from the pivot point. they are also dangerous in that they tend to work your lugs loose over time and can come off going down the road. but if you are willing to chance it, they do make them. sorry i can't be of more help.

might just wanna try some bigger tires? 285-60 r18's should do the trick!

Thanks guys. I probably will not even look at them if they are going to tear up my truck. As for the tires, I just bought new tires that are 245/60/18. So, unless anyone else has any ideas, I will just have to live with my tires in the stock position until I wear out this set. That sucks!! ;eekp;

IMHO ......
.
replacement rubber for the OEM 18" rims .......... for 'tame' (lame ?) street driving ......
.
245-60's look too small on the VX .........
.
255-55's look a tad better ...............
.
265 is a nice width - but the more common 265-60-18 has a little too much sidewall - and is a tad taller - than I prefer ........
.
285's look neat - but are too wide for the OEM rim in my opinion ......

Yep, that sucks... too bad. The bigger tires are just what you needed. Why don't you just go down to the Costco parking lot tonight and do donuts until your tires are gone... then you can get some new ones tomorrow! Actually the Nittos are so hard to find that you probably can order them now and by the time you get them you will be ready for replacements! :-]
