VX Meet in Las Vegas

Lisa K and I have begun to kick around the idea of having a VX meet in Las Vegas. We are especially thinking that the time has come for the female VXers to get together --- but I suppose we could never keep the boys away! ;Dr;

I should add that this is not a "drive your VX to Vegas" kind of meet, unless you live close enough. Its more like getting owners together.

What y'all think? Ideas for when?

I'm not 100% sure I could make it, but if I get to vote it would be mid to late Jan. or early Feb.
I would be glad to leave the great white north for an extended weekend during the coldest part.

Now that is some good advice... First time I went to Vegas 10 years ago I lost $20 in less than 3 minutes! I actually perspired and the Dealer said " First time?" I said "Yes, how did you know?" Dealer said because people don't perspire until they lose a couple hundred dollars. You started after $20!

I said that it wasn't the $20 but the 4 hours of work I put in to earn those $20 as a student. I felt like I lost 4 hours of my life:(

I was planning on going to SEMA but my buddies have since backed out! And now I blew all my money on my lfit parts and dentist bills, DOH! I am definately interested, I LOVE VEGAS! If this is in Jan.-Feb. I will most likely go. Jan. and Feb. are too cold to do much snowboarding anyway.

Hey Anita, this is a great idea, was in vegas about 2 years ago and have really been wanting to go back. Only thing is I can't until mid to late january. So, if its after that then I'm in.

Last time I was in vegas, I walked away with about $2000 more then I actually came with, thats even after paying cash for the hotel :cool!:

I think we were thinking about February or beyond. That way it gives people enough time to make arrangements. It's gonna be very hard to find a date good for everyone. Flexibility is the word for today...

We are about 4 hours away from Vegas. Let me know when you two are gonna be there and I can ask LisaK. I've got a really important gig on the 17th, so I might have to rehearse sometime the weekend before.

We are not far from vegas and would like to meet some new people/VX'ers. So if you send a date that works we would love to come.

We arrive Thur Nov 4 to go to SEMA and leave out sometime Sat. We can get ya’ll into see the unbelievable array of custom cars and products - so much stuff to see that it really takes days to take it all in. It is closed to the public but I have access to passes for $20 each.

Damn I was just out there a few weeks ago too. I'd be game if it were to happen in Feb or later. Most likely I'd have to cheat and fly out -- can a rental car attend the meet :p .

OK just found out I have to be here by Feb. 27th for the big Rallycross event at this years Fur Rondevous! However since I just lifted mine I'm not sure if I will compete, will find out at this weekends Rally if it's even worth entering.

Sweet... How many of us actually live here in Vegas? I've counted 8 VX's here that I've passed on the roads. (other than mine )
