Ok all I know I have been a ghost for the last few weeks(cough:months:cough)but I wanted you all to know I am still around and alive.The Rodeo is a different story but a long one so I thought rather than take up band width explaining everything and posting links to everything how bout we all find a place to get together for a beer and some dinner(?) and talk.No one has to get dirty or throw their VX off a hill on the chin plate(cough:Kasia:cough) but we could still gettogether.
Any ideas or dates or anything???I feel bad for my lack of presence and all so if y'all decide to give me the cold shoulder I understand:waab: .
Unless a miracle happens I will be in the FIEND-mobile part 1 1/2...

I'd be up for it. I'd love to finally meet all the Chicago VX'ers and check out your rides.
FIEND: pfffff.... you think you can disappear for God knows how long, and then just pop back in like nothing happened?!?!?!?!?! pffff...
[cough cough]
Gill: Are we? Really? LOL
I am hurt though... For FIEND you actually move the thread... leaving me in a dark.... ;wtf;
I think the only way you - FIEND - can make up for it is actually show up on the 13th somewhere in Chicago area.... :rolleyes:
Btw, if the 13th for some reason is not a good date for all of you I won't push it... I'll just go with the flow.... I mean with what my fellow VXrs come up with ;po;

Hey John, glad to see you back. I actually thought about calling you twice this week, but kept getting side tracked with work.
I'm in for Nov 13, its an additional bonus that its kasia's b-day.
I'll probably make a whole weekend of it, drive down friday night.
Where do we want to meet? I'm up for whatever you decide, although I have been wanting to goto a casino in the chicago area. Gocarts also sound like they'd be fun.
BTW Gill, you think that skidplate is gonna fit in my back or will I need to break down and buy the load warrior to go on my rack?

I'm in!!
I just told the wife that she can go or stay I don't really care but I am going to Chicago on the 13th!!!
She will be there this weekend leaving me at home so I think it is only fair if I go on the 13th and leave her here...LOL.
HAPPY B-DAY KASIA!!! Won't this be a blast and know one has to wash their ride afterwards...LOL.

I will contact Chicago Indoor Racing to find out specifics for a group of @ 10. Hopefully we'll be able to race as a whole group. We've got plenty of time, so we can get a plan together to meet & race!
Jay, I'll check that skidplate issue out. It is a heavy SOB, and I'm not sure if it will fit inside a VX... we'll see. Worse case senario, I haul it out to you. I still have yet to get my skidplate mounted properly... SLACKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!!! :rolly:

Sounds good, can't wait to get together and have some fun.
Gill, maybe I should pick it up on the way out of town on sunday instead of you having to lug it to the meet and I have to lug it around town all night sat and all day sun. You maybe free on sunday for lunch/dinner or somthing?
John, when do you plan on driving up? Maybe we can convoy or somthing. Not sure if I'm bringing anyone yet, I'll have to see who's free for the weekend.

Sorry you will not be able to make it on the 13th. Would the 6th be doable for everone, or just keep it on the 13th & miss Rich? If we keep it the 13th, that just means we have to plan another one right away! Oh, and as it's NEVER too early to start thinking of Zu Zoo VIII... let's start working on that convoy plan soon as well!

Don't change the date on my account. I'll be working the 6th too. I'll catch up with everyone soon enough!
Have fun!
So it's settled.
MWIOR meets in Chicago on the 13th of November. The plan is, there is no closer plan... LOL
Well, Gill and I will check out Chicago Indoor Racing (http://www.chicagoindoorracing.com) and see if and how we can get a group of 8-10 or greater and if there has to be reservation made.
Rich, we'll miss you. Sorry you won't be there... Things happen, we all know that. If a miracle happens, and your schedule changes I hope you won't forget to join us ;) At the end I think the sky will fall over - FIEND is coming to town [/sarcasm];eeko;

How many on the track at a given time? and what type of food options do they have??
BTW, does this mean we would get exclusive use of the track? or would we still have to wait for others? Do they have a minimum number of people that it has to be reserved for? If we basically get the track to ourselves then I'm in.
any chance you've checked to see if that plate fits in the back?
Hey http://www.mwior.4wdriver.com/ is back, when did that happen? Last time I checked it was forwarding to their default site.

Yeah Kasia, I think the majority would go for something else. I'm heading East to Salem, MA for Halloween tomorrow, so I'll not be logging on. I trust you & FIEND to figure something out!
Oh, and Jay... I think your best bet to hauling the skidplate would be to use the Load Warrior like I did. It's a big mutha! ;Dy;
Ok then. Lets move this business somewhere all of us approve.
Start thinking and give me some ideas so we can agree to where and what time everyone feels our meet should be.

Jay, are you telling me you want to make Game Works before Christmas a tradition? Sounds good to me. That could be two in our MWIOR family, right ater Annual Snow Ball. John would need to add a special page to our website just for annuals LOL
Albert, on a southside of Chicago or are you talking Indianapolis?
I think this time we stay close to Windy City. Just talk to the guys from Indiana and see if you can convoy with them to this meet. It's lots of fun to tag along with a big group. Take a cb with you or walkie talkie, so you don't feel lonely. Gill, Rich and I always have the best converastions over cb while on a road between Attica and Chicago ;po;
I almost forgot. I think Sean from Wire is coming with you guys. Make sure to get in touch with him and see what his plans are.
So, if anyone oposes Game Works talk now or forever hold your peace. [Oh man, I gotta slow down, or I'll need serious help before this meet...]

Greetings fellow VXers! Yes, I'm back from haunting Salem, MA.
I love the idea of making a Fall Gameworks meet a tradition, and think it would be better (& cheaper) than Chicago Indoor Racing. Those that want to shoot pool & game can, and those that want to chat over a couple beverages (or more than a couple... :evil: ) can. Good plan! All righty then... see you all at Gameworks in Schaumburg on the 13th!
Be a sweetheart then and update our meet link on a home page to make it all official.
Oh, btw... time? 6ish I would say. Or later?
And I hope to get a good lesson of pool this time. LOL

A Game Works annual meet sounds good to me. I'd suggest 5pm just so we could get more pics of our vx's (its getting dark early). I know the mall was crowded last year, but it was way to cold and way to dark for any really good pics after we were done.
Albert, I'll be heading up on friday evening. I normally stay on the north side near long grove village.
Gill, I'll try and get a load warrior by the meet, but no promises. Hopfully if I can't then I can figure a way to either mount it in the parking lot or fit it in the back. BTW, have you had a chance to mount yours? Maybe there is a shop open saturday that we could meet up and get them both installed or somthing.
Thx Gill. That's much better.
About the time; you and Jay are right - the erlir the better. I would've said 4 p.m. but I know I am stuck in school 'till 4. Anyway, I'll leave you setting the time since it looks like I might not make it there before 5...

Gill, yeah Anicia had fun, she doesn't like standing out in the cold while we discuss our trucks. But, other then that she always enjoys herself. Dont think I've ever paid $50 for tootsie rolls and nerds before :)
Aaron, I thought it was good as well. Although I didn't like the ending. I thought they should have shown her getting killed, but I guess they were either leaving it to the imagination or leaving it for a sequel. Gotta love that throat noise the ded lady was making, we had some fun with that a few days after.
