Well it seems LAMBO will re enter the market and base their new SUV off of parent company Audi to compete with Porsche.

I'd rather go for the range stormer:

The Range Stormer will be built, but no doubt without the nice concept-y items of the, um, concept shown... like the scissor doors and such.
As much as I want to like the look of that Lambo... it doesn't look "exotic" enough to me... more like a Toyota or Mazda crossover concept or something. The last Lambo SUV, as much as many thought it was ugly, was so different that it was awesome. This thing looks like it could have been drawn up by any one of the major Japanese manufacturer concept designers (not that there's anything wrong with that... just not something right about it either).
Oh, and just to be clear, I'd take it if someone handed it to me!

I agree 100%, Dallas. I think they were trying to hint at the stylistic elements present in their other models, but failed miserably overall.
The thing that's missing is the "smooth gem" look that lambos have, created by a lack of stylistic concave surfaces. Everything protrudes, except intakes. This thing has an indented hood, a (very japanese) ridge along the side, making the side panels look concave, and WTF roof rails?! I understand that they're probably trying to "break up" the mass of the thing visually, but it's way too un-Lambo.
Oh, also, the proportions are all out of whack for a Lamborghini. This thing should be 8 feet wide at least!!!

If Lambo has done it then I don't understand why Porsche owners are so pissed about the Cayanne. I wonder how Ferrari owners would take an SUV. I have read that most do not like the idea. ENZO would roll over in his grave. :(

Hmmmm......444 hp, but 8.5 seconds 0 - 60, and top speed of 126? VERY un-lambo! Looks like a Lexus RX300 on steroids.

Those figures are not of the concept, they are original 1990 lambo LM002. As for the originator of Lamborghini, Ferruccio Lamborghini, perhaps he is tossing and turning since he did start the company by building farm tractors from old military machines... that’s sweet for the company to go back to the original roots and make a dirt-devouring monster. This new suv will have a V-10 and share some audi drivetrain features I believe. Then again, VW, Porche, Audi, and erven Lamborghini all have close ties in ownership. They should just forgo the 10 and throw in the w16 that VW builds, releasing 1000 hps from an 8L!

Got passed by one of those on my way to the Lambo factory on a small 1.5 lane country road. We were going 50 and he blew by at close to a hundred off in the grass - bad *** vehicle! Pre-Hummer and certainly faster!

Notice the really wide tires. 12 years ago tall and wide tires 14.5" where the in thing. Everyone had 33 or 35 x 14.5 mickeys now 37 x 12.5'" is the ticket.

I think the 14.5" width might also be to help keep that rubber from smoking too much when you hit those 450 horses!
