I am new to the VX game.. but am very interested... And was just hoping to maybe get some help from you vets.... First off.. i need to find a VX.... Good price, and i dont want one that has been abused... And yes, i check this page, E-bay and auto trader everyday. Any other places for me to look????

Next... How is a VX on insurance??? I have a "few" speeding tickets on my record... And had to get something that wouldn't kill me on insurance.. so I sold my 3rd Gen. RX7 and BMW to get a 01 Rodeo... And the Rodeo is great on insurance.... I am going to check with my agent Monday to find out, but just wondering if any of you could help me out.

Next question...... What's the diff between the Iron Man and the standard VX? I have done a search, and didn't come up with anything...

Last but not least... Any problems? Like recalls? I looked at a few on consumer reports, and didn't see anything drastic.. But figured you all would know better than anyone else. What's considered good mileage? Like.. I know when shopping for RX7's... 60k can be dangerously high.. due to the rotary engine.... But, I was just curious of any worries with the VX!
Thanks a lot everyone!

Just do a search on here for problems. Some people seem to think the engine is defective. I don't. Read the threads and come to your own conclusions.

As far as insurance, I pay about 25% more than I did for my trooper for the VX. Its pretty expensive. I asked the insurance saleswoman on the phone how it compares and she said that shes seen sports coupes with a "factor" as high as the VX.

its not a soccer mom SUV.

Ya, no doubt about that. I am pretty serious about getting one. Just a matter of finding the right one!
Thanx for the input!

Welcome to the board and hopefully to the VX world... I think your gonna like it. If you haven't driven one yet, I would highly recommend you do it soon... they are awsome! As for motors, there have been some issues that a few have dealt with... I am one of them... but judging by the emails, I would say your ready to take on any problem that rears its ugly head... you'll be ready for an LS1 swap if/when the time comes! ;pb; Anyway, do the usual searches but if you don't find what your looking for, don't hesitate to ask... there are a few who like to jump people for not searching first, but most people here are quite friendly and helpful. TTYL!
