I can get all new KYB shocks installed for $225 but I cant figure out which model I need. Should I get the Gas-A-Just shocks for the price above or try and get the Monomax? Does anybody know which is similar to the OEM shocks? All models can be seem at www.KYB.com

If you are going the KYB route .....
.
I would definitely recommend the MonoMax over the Gas-Adjust.
.
I believe the MonoMax is a more 'heavy duty' unit - may have a larger diameter rod and/or piston. I also believe the MonoMax has higher rebound damping rates than the Gas-Adjust.
.
I - and a few friends - have used Gas-Adjusts and MonoMaxs on a number of vehicles .... including S10 Blazers, Yukons, Explorers, and most recently I installed MonoMax's on my VX. They were slightly under $200 shipped to the door. I purchased mine from Tire Rack. Installation is fairly simple.
.
I think the MonoMax works great on the VX - but unfortunately, I have no baseline for comparison ........ my OEM dampers were shot ........ and I have never driven in a VX with any other aftermarket dampers.
