Anybody have any experience with Bassani? I "inherited" a Bassani muffler that had been used on a 4.0 Ranger. Problem is, I never got to hear what it sounded like. My taste is probably a little different then many here. I'm not looking for the V8 muscle car sound (like the VX could do that anyway!), and I don't want a "raspy" (read backfire) sound to the exhaust. Many of you think the "ricer" exhausts are terrible - but what I am looking for is "throaty", "European" (NOT V8 sounding), and no "popping/backfiring". I used to have a Triumph TR6 with dual exhaust (Monza), and the sound was "to die for" - if I could find a muffler that would produce that sound for the VX - I would be in heaven! I want a "european" sound, not a psuedo V8 sound. I don't want to try 10 different muffler/tip combos to find "the perfect sound" - I'm looking to perfect the wheel - not to recreate it. The PV to me sounds like a glasspack on a 60's Chevy. I have a high performance European vehice - not a Camaro, I'd like a muffler sound that fits that image. Anyone here tried the Bassani?

I have heard and used Bassanies before. They come stock on the Ford lightning trucks. I personally have not heard them on anything but a V8 so i am not sure if i will be much help to you. They are not a raspy sound but they are very deep and throtty. Not very loud either.
