Interesting.
I like how he removes the insert completely and gives the underside a good cleaning and wax (page 2).

I did it on the Dragon when installing the SIRIUS antenna and then again on the IronMan when just examining the hood structure for mods. Takes about 30 minutes and isn't difficult, especially if you have a tool for the tree-fasteners that hold the insulation on.
