Tell me what you think
James
P/s it doesnt handle as well as I thought
I LOVE em! Hope you get your handling issues resolved... might just pull because of the larger patches.
Rim looks nice on the VX!

Hey Cyrk
I think that the larger patches are causing the surface handling.
Corners are held so nicely though.
You wanna swap ?

Hi guys
As good as the wheels look I have decided to go with 18 inchers.
I just feel the way the car handled was too much for me (too much pull supposedly due to the wide tires).
what size tires would you suggest, 255 ?
Are you sure?... I am running Toyo Proxes S/T Tires 255/55/18
very happy with them... but when it is time to get new tires think I might get 285/55/18.
Good luck with them, same rims?

hey Dave/Cyrk how is your handling ? not on corners but on straight roads. And whats the offset of your wheels ?
Wont the 285s be too high ?
The borbets are 18x8... sometimes it pulls alittle but never anything to worry about plus with a 255/55 tire is is almost the same as the stock 18' wheel...
As for the 285... they would be a little beefier which I want, but with the offset of the borbets and the 255 tire it sticks out nicely already. Very happy with this size, just think I might want a change when the time comes? Then again I have never driven a VX with 18 inchers on a 285.

do you know the exact offset of your wheel. I am thinking of getting an offset of 35. The option is 35 or 18
I wanna say 10 but I am just pulling that number from my azz...sorry no clue really...

Hey James,
I have Toyo 275/55 R18's on stock rims. My VX handles fine. I guess I noticed a little difference when I first got them installed, but now I don't notice any severe issues with handling (no severe pulling or cornering issues). Maybe you should keep your tires on for a little while to get used to them. or switch back to 18's and get the 275's. Seems like some pretty expensive Rim/Tire package of your's to give up on so soon!! Just thought I would throw in my $.02.

They are taking them back and sending the 18' of the same style.
So I wont be out any money, not even shipping

That's Sweeeeet! It's nice to know that some companies still allow a little wiggle room when it comes to making a choice!! If you would like to see any pictures of the tires that I have, just let me know. I got them from Tire Rack for $105/tire. There may be better deals out there, but used them due to prior experience.

Looks nice James makes the vcross look tougher. You guys were talking about offset and ride. I have 18's on mine ( 18x9. w/ 4 1/2 offset) Yoko's 255/55R18 and they are about flush with the cladding, might stick out alittle. I do feel more road cracks with the lower profile tire compaired with the stock 16's. But road response with the 18's is vgood.

Keep `em, they look sweet.
I have 285/55/18 Pirelli Scorpions on stock 18's that I bought from VX Crazy.
The wider tires do pull, especially when I was used to 245/70/16 on stock 16's. I adjusted after a while and it wasn't a problem.
Now that I'm back on the old 16's with some new 245/75/16 M/T's for winter I notice a difference again and it's taking me a little while to adjust.
No worries though. ;Dy;
