Well Everyone it's been lots & loads of fun, but in less than 24 hours, I will be an ex-VX owner :waag:
I will continue to check in once-in-a-while and see how ya'll are doing! I love to keep track of the new mods avaialable, just to see how things are going! I can't thank everyone enough, for the years of help & support! I've made so many friends in here and they will always continue to be friends
I would like to extend a special thanks to some of my closest VX buddies: BBVX, ScottMA, Anita, Yefim & of course Crager34 (the new owner of my VX). Everyone in here has always been ready to lend advice, sometimes when asked, sometimes not :D but at least always be available to listen. Thank You Everyone
It's been great over these last 4 years and I can only hope, my next forum group (2005 Mustang Owners) will be at least 1/2 as good as this group! I will miss my VX but as long as I can still come in here, I'll never be without a VX in spirit.
Take care everyone. I hope you all have a Safe & Happy New Year!
Keep in-touch!
:D

At least you're switching from a sporty pony suv to a sporty pony car, so you're excused.;) (it would be an INSULT if you were buying a Liberty or Wrangler):D

Makes one a bit misty--honestly. At least it's attrition by sale, not by destruction. Hate to see any of you digital bits go away. I'm feelin' S2000 bad, so I understand the new car thing. Maybe that's why the misty sentiment. Good luck with the new car. Get it sideways once or twice, and go ahead and order the replacement rear tires for the originals you should smoke off the mule in two weeks.

I've been missing in action for a long time - this past year was not very good for me unfortunately... lots of bad things happened, thank God it is over. So it has been a while since I read the forum.
Dave, just wanted to say that it is very sad to see you go... but I am sure you are doing the right thing. Getting a new ride is very exciting, so I know you will have a blast with your new wheels. I also hope you'll keep in touch. It was very nice meeting you and your family. Best wishes and enjoy!
Also, Scott, good job on the site face-lift and all the improvements. Happy New Year to everyone.

Well my Ole' friends, I'm back, kind of. As some of you may remember, I sold my VX after 4 years and bought a new 2005 Mustang GT.
Well that car is long gone now as well. But after I sold my VX, when my youngest daughter turned 17, she saved up and bought a VX
of her own. She really loved my old VX that much, she wanted one for herself. Well here we are, now 9 years later and she's turning
26 next week. She's a SSGT Security Forces Specialist and is getting deployed over to Qtar. So her & her husband (he's also a SSGT Security Forces Specialist)
and they live in Wyoming. So they both (along with their 2 dogs) drove here to Mass for a 3 week visit before she gets deployed. Since she won't be back
home until sometime in Feb-March of 2018, she decided to bring me her VX! Now I get to 'play' with it for a year, while I fix a few things on it for her.
So, I'm glad to be back here. I'm even More excited to be Driving a VX again!!! I'll be on the hunt for a few things, like new headlights, maybe shocks, etc.
The rear door no longer opens more than a few inches. Something inside broke, not sure what yet as I haven't pulled it apart. I just plan to
do some good old TLC on it while I have (and drive) it. Here she is:

Thanks,
Dave...
Your daughter has better taste in cars than you? :p

Welcome back. Is she interested in mods or just keeping it stock

Welcome back. Is she interested in mods or just keeping it stock
For now, other than the bigger tires, stock. It needs some TLC and a new nose cladding due to a small accident.
I plan to change all fluids, look at the (hopefully just loose) heater fan/motor. Vibrates badly on high. Rear door
lever broke, so I removed it. At least the door opens all the way now, just have to be careful not to let it fly open
all the way. Headlights need serious buffing or replaced if I can't get them clear. Needs new shock and the AC fan
was shot and she removed it, so looking for a replacement fan.
That's all for now.

That is an interesting story. I happen to have bought crager34's VX. It is a 2000 and is Silver with the grey black interior. I am putting a motor in it currently for the second time. I bought it from him after it developed a rod knock, and had it shipped from Wisconsin where he moved after living in Moab. I'm taking it to Moab in May. Good luck with your daughters VX, and welcome back.
