OT - vehicle in a movie

just saw "50 First Dates" this weekend - not a bad movie, not a great movie. Anybody know what the orange and white 4X4 that Drew Barrymore's father drives is? I thought it was an older Land Cruiser at first, but looking at them on eBay, they look different. This vehicle looked familiar, but I can't place it.

Drew Barrymore drove the orange VW Thing - her father drove the orange and white vehicle I am referring to. I initially thought it was an older Land Cruiser, but discovered that it wasn't when I looked them up on eBay.

i first learned to drive stick on a 2 door explorer at age 13. pretty scarey with my older sister in the pasenger seat screaming every time i did something wrong. at least now i dont ever shift wrong. :)
