I've actually considered that. There used to be a few outfits around that would wrap your vehicle in their advertising and pay you like $300 a month for it. And the VX is exactly the kind of vehicle they'd love to work with because they really get noticed.

I thought about doing the "wrap" thing when I had my '01 Ford F-250 Crewcab 4X4, "Big Red". Pretty much a billboard in itself, and as much as I loved the truck I'm glad I don't have the 38-gallon gas tank anymore. LOL!
There's a couple of Jeep Liberty's and Hummer H2's running around here with the full-on "wrap" banners on 'em, but the imagery is so busy I have no idea what it's advertising. :p
Couldn't imagine a VX with that stuff on it though! I think the only graphic'd VX's I've ever seen are the Russian VX with the gunship graphics and the Geolandar VX. Anyone seen others?

There is a guy here in Omaha the actually tows a giant billboard with an H2. He's apparently done so well he's getting a second one to do the same with. Rumour has it he paid for the H2 within the year! Maybe I should be a VX or H2 pimp!

I'm totally not ashamed in the least to say that I would DEFINITELY do that, given the opportunity. My VX has been bleeding me dry since the day I got it (not even 3 months ago!) and I think it's about time that it starts paying me back.

I'd like to end up with a VX for parts delivery and have it wrapped. Autowraps are still a very underutilized form of advertising. I can spend a couple thousand a month on a billboard that no one notices or three thousand on a full autowrap that turns heads.
I expect the autowrap craze to catch on in the next five years or so, at which point autowraps won't stand out quite as much anymore and won't be as effective a form of advertising as it is today.

Hey Don, maybe we should talk! I don't know about delivering but we might be able to work out a deal on some advertising....maybe for the front cladding? Just a thought!

That's right, you're here in Omaha aren't you? I was thinking more along the lines of H&H has their pickup, Lithia has their Ranger that they use for parts delivery, etc. We'd have our autowrapped VehiCROSS. Granted, it's not produced any more but damn it turns heads without the wrap... can't imagine what'd it'd look like with a well-designed full body wrap.

I was thinking of doing that a little while ago, maybe buy an old beater utility van.Wrap that biatch like a present on christmas and collect the 400-500/month. Gas money + pocket cash. That would be noice. Do that to my own car though, probably not.

LOL! Unbelievable - I can't believe the final tally on that! That lends new meaning to getting increased exposure, eh?

Would have been funnier if Mayfield Dairies or some other milk producer had won!
