Headlight Connector

There are 3 wires going to the headlight bulb for high/low beam. What are the other 2 wires going to a connector in the side of the headlight for? Are these just leftovers in the haness or do they serve a purpose?

The other 2 go to an intermediate connector, then to the socket for the horn light.
