View Full Version : Bad intake gasket
I was about to leave for home after visiting my parents in Massachusetts when my check engine light came on. My VX started to idle rather roughly and actually stalled when I put it in park. The mechanic diagnosed a leaking intake gasket which was causing my VX to run lean. I managed to drive it the 250 miles back to my home in NY and took it to my dealer for repair. My VX only has 40,000 miles on it. Has anyone else had this problem on a VX with that few miles?

Actually a fairly common problem on the Rodeo 3.2 engines . This is the first I have heard of on a VX

You should be able to see that in the fuel trims. The numbers would be way positive trying to add fuel for the extra air caused by the leak.
