I don't know of anyone else who has a VX in Australia and is on this forum, but I'll start this thread to help people in Australia if and when they get on this site. Hopefully someone else from Australia gets on here from time to time. Not that this site isn't extremly usefull, as a lot of people know that it is, but just to make somethings easier for Australians to relate to. Hopefully someone will be able to do the same for us. There could be as little as 25 Vx's over here.

I'll just post stuff up as I come accross it.

I have just found out that brake pads are the same as the Jackaroo and the bendix model number is 1270 (front) and 1280 (rear), 4x4 type pads are about au$90.00 pair (for front).

Oil Filter and Air Cleaner is same as Jackaroo too.

if anyone is from oz please post up.

OzVx, welcome to the site! Are you anywhere near New Castle? I may be there in September for the Duathlon World Championships. I made Team USA but now just have to find the $$$ to get over there!

well done for getting on the team. I have been on here for a little while, got the car last June, and find that there is nothing to compare it too.

I live in Mount Gambier (30,000 people) in the state of South Australia which is about 1,500km (930 miles) and 15 hours driving time, so i won't be able to get over there sorry.

But, when you come over you MUST and PROMISE ME that you will get over to Port Stephens. It is only 70km (43 mile) and 1 hour driving time from Newcastle and is one of the nicest place's in Australia. It is a massive harbour with lots of bays and is much bigger than sydney harbour. Its not part of a massive city, but there is a few little towns and is not overly developed. It is that nice a place that my parents and other relatives travel all that way just to go there and only there for easter (a 2 day full drive for them). You can also go on dolphin and whale watching cruises too.

Below is a link for the map from newcastle to shoal bay (one of the nicest bays in port stephens), if it doesnt work, try the one below it, but you will have to put in both place names. both are in NSW.

Also if you are going to be in Sydney you can go on a tour where you can walk to the top of the bridge.
