View Full Version : replacing headlight bulbs....
One of my headlghts went out a few days ago, so I went to replace the bulbs...not thinking what a big pain it would end up being and the task ended up being almost 3 hours long. Fir ;) st off it is really hard to get your hands in the correct place to get to the bulb, I am not sure if a trained monkey could have gotten his hands to fit with out some struggle...than once you do get them in place it was hard keeping the pin in place to secure the bulb...well 3 hours later with the help of two grown men we finally figured how to replace the bulbs. The second light only took minutes once we figured out what we were doing. yikes....

Sometimes it is better to move a few items out of the way to get to them.. Airbox and battery.

If you have already taken the "elbow" off the airbox you don't even need to remove the whole box. Just this weekend I had to replace my left front bulb (my 9 month old Sylvania burnt out  ). You can open the top, remove the air cleaner and reach in through the hole where the elbow was to have a direct shot at the headlight. It took me a total of 5 minutes, including clean up.
