Hi everyone. . .I finally decided what to do with the blank area left in my dash from the removal of the six disc. I am modifying a piece there, that will have two additional Cigarette (12V DC) outlets. Just wondering if anyone has done anything like this. I've heard you can run them straight to an open space on a fuse box, or right to the battery. Obviously you need to put an in line fuse in the mix, but are there other suggestions? I'm all ears.

Depends on if you plan to use them as "Cigarette Lights" or just 12v outputs. The latter is a simple wiring job but, don't just splice(tap) into wires or the fuse block as the one the VX came with is pretty small and threre isn't alot of room between it and the cover.

Here's an article that I wrote regarding adding another "Fuse Block" (http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=6). You don;t have to do the same thing but it at least gives you an idea of what needs to be done.

Last thing you want to do is overload the original electrical system.. Always better to have a secondary that is protected by fuses, relays and/or circuit breakers.

Hey Moncha, I expect to use these outlets as additonal power points, one for my ipod, and one for my cell phone charger probably.
