PS3 debut in e3

Xbox 360 is comming out in time for this x-mas, PS3 and Revolution (ninetendo's little thing)... and I do mean little are comming out next year. Course I think nintendo will come out may spring ish and sony doesnt mind waiting for next x-mas rush......

The Revolution seems cool as well its small and well small. They are saying that you will be able to play.. well download all of the old games to it such as old school excitbike, duckhunt, basically games from the last 20 years. They are alos saying thay it will be smaller than the one they unvailed @ E3, think something liek the size of 3-4 cd cyrstal holders (forget exact name for those things)http://media.cube.ign.com/articles/615/615030/imgs_1.html?fromint=1


Now to the money grubbing Microsoft Xbox 360. (no dont hate but we all have our feeling about microsoft) Is comming out with 3 diff consoles, one with a hard drive, one without, and one thats more pc versionish (there words not mine). Didnt show on E3 but showed on mtv most excited about Perfect dark zero. Oh yes wirless controllers, and they are pushing buying items online like people do in pc world with ebay but keeping it to Xbox comunity.... I smell too much money into this one.. Hopefully one can hope its some form of in game not real cash.

Nothing I've seen for Xbox 360 makes me want to spend the money and get it when it first comes out. They showed DOA 4 and it didn't look much better than on the current Xbox. Gears of War does look good tho. I'm not really interested into all the online content MS seems to be pushing. I think they are failing to realize it should be a gaming system first and not everyone cares about designing and selling clothing for game characters.

Now with the PS3, it blew me away. It's a huge step up from the current consoles. Killzone 2 and Fight Night 3 look amazing even if it's more CG than actually gameplay. PS3 is still a year away. Xbox is less than 6 months. Not to mention that PS3 is BlueRay. So the future is much brighter. I would expect MS would have to launch another console in 2008 to be competitive with the PS3. As game developers start utilizing the Blueray the 360 will quickly become obsolete.

So far the best game I've seen is the Formula 1 game for the PS3. It was breathtaking. I'm trying not to get my hopes up tho since like most F1 and rally games it probably won't be sold here in the states.

Sorry I'm video game junkie. E3 is an exciting time for me.

I just got back from E3. I wasnt impressed with the PS3. It looked like most of what was shown on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 was pre-rendered. Lot's of trailer work. Including our game. Out trailer was ingame stuff, but nothing realtime ran ingame on the 360. Our demo was shown on PC.

Our game looks to have been a sleeper title. During and after E3, its getting quite the hype.

The PS3 show was all smoke and mirrors. What you saw coming out of E3 was all pre-rendered CG and not actual gameplay.

My friend at Epic said the same thing about the PS3. Alot of people are going to be pissed off when they've seen all this eyecandy and the 15-year-old "press" has led them to believe that what they've been fed is all in-game stuff. While he said a lot of the 360's stuff was pre-rendered, he said that the PS3 party could have been a hollywood movie release for all he could tell.

Everyone is touting the "superior" hardware of the PS3, I'm wondering if its going to lead to better games. I don't really care however, as I'll never own a console. I hate playing FPS' on a stupid controller.
