I'm in the process of installing a Pillar Badge on the rear door, waiting for it. It's not going to be applied like the sides are, still thinking of what would look best. I'll post pic's...

I need to have my rear door repainted 'cause somebody keyed it. Y'know, I take the VX to the inner city, part in some of the worst schools -- nothing. I get a job at a swank suburban school last fall, and within the first month, it's keyed!
Anyway, now that school's out, I'm going to have paint work done, and am planning to replace the ISUZU badge with the Vehicross pillar badge.
So, I, too, would love to see a pic. Think it will look sweet.
Ok a quick photochop should help you guys... would look neat.

Damm the Bpillar VehiCROSS badge: $50.17 from St Charles... guess you do need to find a cheaper solution.

Is that for 1 or a pair? If its a pair that isn't too bad. For 1...ouch!!!! but not a big surprise...those little center caps for the 16" wheels are $179 each locally!

I hand made mine out of aluminum... same size and style as original, only difference is that there is no red "ehi"... all aluminum. I'll post a pic when I get home. (the darned thing took about 2 weeks, on and off, to make by hand. I didn't want to spend $50+ on something I could make myself for about $5 in materials.) You can see my custom front VX badge in my gallery. The rear one looks similar... just stock in design.

Wow, I thought that would look good on back but now I must do that! Great cut and paste job to get an idea. I think it would be to big for grill but looks great on rear.

I actually have a VX badge kit from Isuzu. When my VX rolled the body shop ordered the kit and it costs $280 for the badges and that didn't include the Ironman badges they purchased separate, because they didn't ask for the IRONMAN full badge kit.I would be willing to sell the badges at a reasonable price ...pm eme if interested.
kit includes
1) large ISUZU badge for rear door
2) 3.5L side fender badges
1) TORQUE ON DEMAND rear door badge
1) 4WD rear door badge
2) VehiCROSS upper rear side panel badges
also I have
2) IRONMAN TRIATHALON upper rear side panel badges

Jim...love the look of that badge. Here is what I had done, and it didn't cost no stinkin' $50.00 for one badge.

plus I had a smaller all chrome decal made to fit exactly under the 1/2 moon cladding...I'll see which one I like better, i may changeto the smaller one later.

That aluminum one looks too awesome not to comment on. How'd you do that!!!??!

Thanks!
I used 3" x 1/8" aluminum strip.. cut out the letters, and shaped them using my Dremel, many bits (I kept wearing them out!) and lots of time! Each letter took approximately 2-3 hours. 1 hour to cut the letters out, and 2ish to shape, sculpt, sand, sand, sand.. and polish.
I did it in Aluminum because I saw the badge on the back of a Porsche Cayenne and LOVED how classy and stylish it looked.

Can you make it bigger in Aluminum ?

I don't know if anyone makes that type of aluminum in a bigger size. I was thinking of trying some different materials.
I've already had a couple people ask if they could buy these from me... Honestly, I don't know if I can make anymore. They take so much darned time and effort. They are literally like working on a sculpture project for an art class. If I did make more of these, I'd probably have to sell them for a higher price than the original pillar badges. If I find a material that is easier to work with, I'll let you all know.
I might be willing to make some more of the "VX" emblems:
http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/2/thumbs/873My_VX_Grill_Logo.jpg (http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/2/873My_VX_Grill_Logo.jpg)
But that's about all I can do right now.
If I get enough requests for the VehiCross emblem, I might reconsider...

Does anyone know how much Isuzu would charge for the c pillars badges and for the Isuzu emblem between the fangs on the grill? One I saw had those missing and i'm curious how much it would cost me to replace.

Check out the OEM catalog at www.isuzuparts.com (http://www.isuzuparts.com). I believe the pillar badges are something like $30-40 each. Not sure on the Isuzu front badge, but I imagine you could pull that at a yard somewhere, since I think it's identical to the Rodeo/Amigo.

Should former Isuzu dealers still be able to get parts like these and perform service?

Possibly but they will almost certainly charge you more.

There's still "authorized Isuzu" locations. You can look them up on Isuzu's website. For example, there's only 2 in all of Arizona. Luckily one is only 25 miles from me. It's a former Isuzu car dealership (which sells other brands now). Don't know if ALL the authorized places are former dealerships or not. Many find that since so much time has now passed since Isuzu pulled out, most of these dealership service departments don't have anybody specifically knowledgeable about the VX any more. Some find a private mechanic is better, more willing to try.
We have a great contact at St. Charles Isuzu in Missouri named Merlin in the parts department. He gives us a discount and free shipping when you mention this forum. He can track down any parts from any Isuzu warehouse in the country so he's you're best bet for any and all parts.

I think "Mile High VX" just recently bought new badges from Merlin, he can give ya the cost...I think they were closer to $40 each like vt_mav said.

I can also give thumbs up for St. Charles Isuzu. They have had all the parts I needed in stock at a decent price. I did snag up their last transmission neutral safety switch though.
As for the grill emblem, why not go with the VX badge instead...

Two side badges delivered were $110...but worth it for me.
