I really don't notice it until I have the air condition on. With it off, I idle about 800-900 rpm , with it on it idles at about 1000 - 1,200 rpm. What up with that?

Anybody else have this problem. Didn't notice until it started getting hot.
Is there anything that I can pour into the tank to cure this. It feels like it need some carb/injector cleaner.

With the air off, it runs perfect.
HELP !!!

Not sure if that really is a problem, thunderchicken - all of my 4-cyl cars have always done the same thing - the engine controller ups the revs a bit when you turn on the AC to make up for the power lost to spinning the compressor. If it idles rougher with the AC on, then maybe you really do have a problem. Good luck, though!

Like George said...I don't think it's a problem either. My RPM goes up a little too when the compressor kicks on. Due to the extra load on the engine now with the a/c on the computer is compensating. My Rodeo does the same thing as does my Dodge Van.
