Hi Lads and Lasses
I am attending a wedding this w/e at 630pm. Do you guys or girls think a white linen suit is ok. I am not a suit and tie guy but I though a linen suit might be ok. Your input much appreciated

If it was the mid 80's I'd say "go for it" But not now. BTW I like your wheels james ! ! !

James,

I would say no. Evening weddings are usually more formal - white linen would be more appropriate for a daytime/garden wedding. IMHO

You can never go wrong with a dark blue suit. I would avoid the white linen unless you can find a swarthy midget to follow you around and yell "Da plane, boss, da plane."

Wear it! I wore shorts to my own wedding! Okay, it was on the beach in Malibu.

Go for the linen suit! Yes, evening weddings are more formal, but middle-of-the-summer weddings are less so (especially in Miami!). I was in the Catskills this past weekend for a wedding, much of which was either outdoors or in non-A/C'd or poorly A/C'd indoor rooms, and it was about 100*F out. Dark suit? No way!!! Even my tan silk suit was too warm for that nonsense! And to think the sister of the bride was trying to get people to tux it at the last minute!
