Ouch - the bar didn't help prevent that? Have tried winching yourself out of anything yet?

Yeah, we had to winch Brian out of the Mohegan Sun casino back in February! ;-)

I'm very sorry for your loss, Brian. Doesn't look that bad, though. Good luck with the repair (and the Blazer!).

George.....That's funny :p :p :p
Hey Brian....you'd better go play with that Blazer out in the woods rather than the VX, it's cheaper to fix :p :p

The headlight is OK and I can't imagine how much worse it would have been without the tube bumper. I've used the winch several times, a few times it REALLY came in handy.

I spent a few hours when I got home straightening sheet metal with a mini sledge. Luckily, I didn't get into the hood or the driver's door. I found a replacement fender at a dealership in Rochester, NY (coincidentally, where my parents live!) and they are going to paint it for me before my dad picks it up. The front cladding was also ripped underneath so I got a replacement for that as well, after wheeling with it for 2+ yrs, it could use replacing anyway.

I was coming down off a rocky embankment when my rear tires slipped off the rocks and I put both feet on the brake pedal. When I did this, the side of my right foot touched the gas pedal and I rolled forward clipping a tree.

Collride '05 is the second weekend in August so I HAVE to have the Blazer done by then. http://www.jonfund.com/coolride/
