Well it finally happened to me. I got hit coming up to Tennessee yesterday - going on I24 up Monteagle across the Cumberland ridge - a pickup in front of me hauling what looked like the contents of an apartment - next thing I knew a globe (as in globe-of-the-earth you see in libraries and as part of encyclopedia sets) flies off and is coming right at my head. It hit my windshield right where it bonds to the roofline and put a shallow dent (about 4" in diametr) hear the edge. I also have a stress bulge about an inch out pushed up into a point. Fun Fun.

I can't imagine what it's gonna cost to fix - I thought about a dent-doctor type service but the part that's pushed up has cracked the paint. Any advice would be appreciated. I'll post a pic when I get home.

Ouch! Guess the truck was being driven by a real asteroid, huh? Sorry, couldn't resist. :bgwo:

Hopefully those paintless dent dudes can do something for you. :luck:

Damn John...that's gotta hurt :(
Hope the guy has insurance.
Used to see stuff like that happen all the time on I-95 when I lived in Florida, it made me sick.
