Spotted this little item on e-Bay the other day. Looks like it might add a little HP to our VX.

Interesting, but I think "Type R" decals will get you more at the dyno. :laughr:

Bear,
Is that a direct bolt on for VX mounts?...call me krazey if you will, but I think that would look "real purdy" if painted the right color.

Ldub,
it looks like it bolts right on to the original mounting points but check it out. I tried to post the link but it didn't take.

Isn't the stock one designed specifically to force air down the rear window to help keep it clear of rain, snow and mud since we don't have a wiper? I thought I read that once somewhere.

Wyrre, that's a good point, but also, forcing air downward at the rear end will decrease turbulance a bit by balancing out the low pressure created at the cavity behind the massive squared off rear end. This allows a higher top speed and better gas mileage. A downforce scoop would have the opposite effect, while adding minimal performance gains in corners.

Like it would actually help us see something out that mirror... I really enjoy keeping track of car roofs...
:smack:
:cool!:
Although in southern california, we dont really need to worry much about rain, snow and mud so it wouldnt be the perfect testing ground for that ... ;)

Hehe. :p

Thanks guys for giving me yet another phobia to worry about:

While I was attending a local R/C Airplane-Helicopter Air Show I couldn't understand the uneasiness I was feeling as a large R/C Bi-Plane was doing stunts overhead :rolly2: ...then it dawned on me that if it were to crash into the parking lot, there was a small chance it could crash onto the roof of my VX ;eeky; ....it was then THAT picture above came to mind producing a cold sweat upon my forehead..... :freek:

Hey Greg.......... :)
You got two choices here...LOL
1. stop going to Air shows
2. get that flying wing photo out of your head

From what I can gather that "wing" on e-bay is the same size as the original Isuzu JDM accessory deflector which was never available here, but was sold in Japan and there are photos of it on the Japan VX sites.
