Assuming it's not a family member, what is the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty to the subsequent owners?

I was told by the dealership that it is 50% for nonfamily members. So 10 year 120K miles would be 5 year 60K. Anybody heard any different?

That's what it also says in the manual, 5yrs/60k.

I was a little confused about the 3yr/50k warranty too. Thought that as the second owner I lost out on any of remainder of it, but my dealer is honoring the full 3yrs/50k, which gets me to the end of this year on my 2000 model. Good news.:D

This is a question I posted inside my thread asking for opinions on the deal I am working on. If the manual says it is 50% to subsequent owners, then I am inclined to think thats how its gonna work out... I guess I can find a local Isuzu dealer and ask them directly... if they want to honor the full warranty, I'd be VERY pleasantly pleased. Time to find a local dealer... should have one of those anyway if I'm gonna buy one of these!

I can't believe their is such ambiguity on this point. I'm really concerned about the bumper-to-bumper... I mean if the warranty to all 2nd (and 3rd, etc) owners is 18 months, 25k miles, that's not so good...

Okay, after about 15 minutes getting transfered to and fro, I got a straight answer from Isuzu America. This is the bottom line:

First Owner:
36 months, 50k miles (bumper-to-bumper)
120 months, 100k miles (powertrain)

Subsequent Owners: (family members retain full above warranty)
36 months, 50k miles (bumper-to-bumper)
60 months, 60k miles (powertrain)

I'm happy with this, that means that my new truck will still have about 18 months left on the bumper to bumper. (Did I say my new truck? Why yes I did! Details to follow...)

Hey Randy,
May i mention Courtesy Isuzu on South Broadway (Way SOUTH!). Thay are the best Isuzu dealer i have dealt with. Denver Isuzu are crooks and Tynan's Isuzu is ok but but not really up to par. Everytime i have had warranty work done i have never been asked about ownership and such. I bet they would honor the original warranty no questions asked. It's worth a try.

Thanks - always good to know of good dealers! We just bought (2 days ago) a Lexus RX-300 so the only dealer in town for that is Kuni also on Broadway, so I figure the wife and I will just do service at the same times :D
