Front Cladding quandry

I recently removed my front cladding for some deap cleaning, photos, and measurements. When I put it back on the hex bolts on either side of the grill apearently had nothing to anchor too...

As far as I could figure, they screw into the foam back there, which I must not have lined up correctly. Is that right or am I missing something?

you are correct. They do not screw into anything but a little metal clip to keep them in place.
