I am in the process to intall a boost gauge, where in the engine is a good place to get the boost, do you have any pictures or drawings?
Thank you

Hi guys, please I need to install this gauge. I know that some of the guys have installed this gauge recently.
Thank you ;)
frankie,
I don't know a dayum thing, as I haven't done it yet. But it seems to me you would probably have to drill & tap a hole in the intake manifold below the s/c (where the boost is) the proper size for whatever plumbing you'll need to run.
Looking at mine, the easiest location would be the flat open area on the right (battery) side where there is room to work.
HOWEVER...this is just a guess on my part, hopefully someone who knows more about it will chime in.
Good luck, Ldub

Hey amigo, that may be one of the options, but I will rather wait for a less "invasive" procedure.
thank you for your reply :)
Frankie,
I was just looking around in a VX photo file & this caught my eye...ck. out the fitting that's plumbed in to the lower ctr. of the intake. Perhaps whoever posted this photo originally will have more to add.http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/thumbs/36sc3.jpg (http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/36sc3.jpg)

Look on the intake manifold, I think on the left (drivers side). There is a small brass tube that comes out of the intake manifold. It's on the left (drivers side) on the new intake manifolds and comes out the fron on the earlier versions. It should be capped off already with a rubber cap. Remove the cap and hook up your boost guage line. It will allow you to read both boost and vacuum. That's where I hooked mine up and it works great. Hooking up the line only takes about a minute or two. It's mounting the guage that will take the time. Good Luck!!! VXtreme

Hi amigos ,
Ldub,
Thank you for the information, unfortunately my manifold does not have this hole.
VXteme,
I see a small brass tube on the intake manifold, it's on the drivers side under the throttle assembly.. Is this the one? The tube has a rubber tube, but since it is so difficult to get there I need to take some time and see where the end of this tube goes to.
Thank you. :)

T into the line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

Yes.... that is the tube I am talking about. I believe that it goes from the intake manifld to your fuel pressure regulator. As Hotsuace said put a T in the line and run the open end to your boost guage.

Frankie,
Please post pics :) I'm installing my SC with Tone next weekend and wouldn't mind installing a boost gauge as well. Thanks!
