Well i finally retired my old never summer board, sold it on ebay for $50 more than i paid for it!!! I found this Burton custom 160 at a pawn shop for $75. This was orignally the board i wanted when i bought my Johan 163 but i could not find it in my size. It is nearly perfect except for a few small scratches in the top sheet. I also turned over a new leaf, i got rid of my clickers and bought some new 2006 K2 Cinch 05s bindings and 2006 K2 Proof boots. These things rock!!! They are similar to Flow bindings but the amount of control you have is way better. There is a lever on the back that pulls a cable to raise the highback and cinch down on your foot. I absolutly love these things. The boots are sweet as well, they have the BOA cable liner system and are super comfy. I also decided to get a helmet this year. I got a Giro Bad Lieutenant in matte gray and love it. Anyways i have been up the last two weekends and today and love the setup. Today was awsome, we rode at least a foot of powder all day untill about 3 when the wind started to pick up. Needless to say i am sore and way out of shape. Here are some pics of the new gear, let me know what ya think.

Tell me how the Cinches work out. I've been looking at those for a while. The Flow binding have always been too heavy and the K2s look like they would be much lighter. Great if you are strapping and unstrapping to hike the pipe all day.

Love my BOA boots, won't ever go back. Tighten and loosen on the lift, don't have to take my gloves off. They rock. Not as adjustable as Burton's 2 zone system but an improvement on laces for sure.

I don't use my helmet as much as I should. Bad Lieutenant is stylin'. All great buys.

I love the cinches, way better than flows, more control and better board feel. If you get them DO NOT buy last years. They made some major improvments this year and they are well worth the cost. They are as fast if not faster than flows and they are lighter. Another cool thing is you can ride them like regular strap ins if you want to. Do it, you wount be sorry.
