What up VXers,
Just moved up to Boston from Orlando and its time to test her snow shoes. I wanted to organize a meet up here in New England. Let me know if any one is interested. I know some good trail rides in central MA.

Dirty Dave..........

My first question to you is: "WHY" (move up North, that is)

I am always up for a VX meet here in good old (cold) New England.

Count me in as VERY INTERESTED. We're up in Southern VT (Mt Snow) about every other weekend in the winter, so I won't be too far away.

Hey Dave,

A meet sounds good to me.

I know some people will be running stocks or street tires, so a trail ride with a couple inches of snow might not work out (unless it's really flat).

I was going to try to get another CT casino meet together mid-February if you want to wait and help me recruit for that. :)

But if you want to get out and have some fun in the snow, COUNT ME IN!!! :D

hey,
i was thinking we could meet at wachusett mountain and go from there, i know some good trails about 1/2 hour west (nothing to serious) street tires should be fine. i am busy the weekend of jan 13 & 14, so i was thinking the weekend of the 7th or the 21st. any preferences? i thought a sunday would be better for everyone. give me some feedback

Anyone know a big open paved area where you can go and just play in the snow and ice? Some place you could do donuts and trying out some icy drifting without too much worry of hitting anything or the property owner calling the cops on you?

wyrrej,
I always have luck at industrial/buisness parks after hours or weekends. some places will have private security, but they wont cause you much trouble, i wouldn't think.....maybe ask you to leave

I won't be able to make it on the 7th - we celebrate Orthodox Christmas with my wife's family then. The weekend of the 21st is better for me.

As many as I have the time and money for!!! :-)

This one was too good to pass up... a group trip to Sugarloaf (in Maine) - Sun-Thurs nights in a 2-bedroom condo with my wife and a friend of ours for $276 each. If our buddy's girlfriend makes it, it'll be anothe $30 or so cheaper per person. An extra $100 gets you 5 lift tickets too, but we have the ASC All-East season passes, so we've got that covered.

So Dirty Dave suggested a Saturday trail day, which has a much better chance of working for me.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Haven't heard anything on the Meet fro the 22nd.
Oh well....guess it's not on anymore so I guess I'll work that weekend and take the next weekend off to do my own trailriding in the Green Mountains. Lots of great mud up here right now. ;)

Just talked to my buddy who works for the Land Rover Off Road Training School here in Manchester, VT last night. He told me the trails are so wicked up here right now...he took out a brand new H3 two days ago and they ended up "chaining" all four tires because the mud was so deep :) :)
The school has a few Discoverys,a couple of H2 Hummers and they received a set of H3 Hummers in October to try out.
Happy Trails.....John
