I think it's very cool that Toyota is bringing the new FJ to production for 2007, but I think this is even cooler (especially for some fellow FJ fans here!):

Basically, TLC 4X4 (http://www.tlc4x4.com) is building true FJ reproductions from scratch and will also be offering an inline 4-cylinder turbo diesel as an engine option. :)

that is one of the best things i have ever seen.... now if only someone can build me a tumbler. If i had the cash i think i might have to get one of these though.

For the 100K they want for this a ground up restoration on a real FJ 40 would be half the price. The Land Cruiser folks think it is absurd. I don’t currently own a LC but have owned 2 and my VX is just as capable and much more fun to drive. There are a lot less expensive alternatives.
