I looking at buying some new wheels and tires for my '99 VX. What I am looking at is the MB Wheels Chrome Bruzer Wheel available from Discount Tire. The wheel spec is 20" X 8.5" X 6-139.7 with an 18mm offset.

The tires I'm considering running are 275/45 - 20. I'm just wondering if anyone knows without doing a fit test if this tire and wheel combination will fit my VX without doing any lifting or any major trimming?

The tire size differences are:

Stock Tire New Tire Difference
Size: 245/70 - 16 275/45 -20
Sidewall: 6.75" 4.87" -1.88"
Section width: 9.65" 10.83" +1.18"
Diameter: 29.50" 29.74" +0.24"
Circumference: 92.69" 93.44" +0.75"
Speedo diff: 65 mph 65.53 mph

That's pretty much the same setup I'm running on my '01. The only difference I saw was that the offset on my wheels is +14mm. My front tires rub the cladding in front just a little when turning sharply, but I've not trimmed anything for additional clearance. This pic was actually taken right after I installed the new setup.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that it would fit OK. I think just to be on the safe side I will have Discount Tire do a fit test just to make sure there are no problems. Your VX looks great with the wheels and tires you selected. Well..... I'm off to Florida for a vacation so the wheels and tires will have to wait until I return. I will post pictures when I make the change. Thanks again. VXtreme.
