would black shoe polish/dye for leather shoes work or just come off on your pants? Anyone? I have no clue.
Other places you might try...
Tandy leather stores
Shoe repair shops
Places that do leather cleaning/ alterations/ repair or custom work.

The black is pretty ok on my seats, its the wierd shade of red that needs some help the most. I would really prefer not to use shoe polish, if i'm going to do it i'd like to only have to do it one time and not worry about it anymore. But I fugured since i need the red i'd redye the black too so it looks right.
Thanks everybody for the help

My drivers seat began to show some wear back in 2002. I used a little red touch up paint on the worn areas. The paint bonded the leather fibers and restored the color. I haven't had a problem since and it's been nearly 4 years without need for reapplication. Trick is not to use too much, just enough to fill in to the edges without overlapping and you should be fine :luck:

Just had the local car dealers' leather repair guy over to work on my wife's '99. He did a magnificent job but it took him almost four hours to repair a couple small areas and dye them back. It also cost $150.00. He used a wide range of different products to acheive the desired color effect. He's a true pro. I'd guess most areas have such a specialist. Ask a local dealer or detailer who they use. Just a suggestion.
