Its been a while since i tried to order parts from st charles isuzu and came to find out they dont sell isuzu parts anymore. Does anyone have a place to get oem parts cheap?

I found isuzuparts.com which aint to bad but they dont sell the platinum plugs, I really dont feel like paying my dealer $24 for each plug.

also has anyone tried the rotors on ebay? I need front rotors and was wondering if they are just as good as OEM or worse?

thanks

Try Denso "iridium power" spark plugs, as good or better than stock & much le$$. IK16 is the part # & I found them for $11.99 ea. by googleing "denso iridium". Also, the local Auto Zone had them last time I checked.

since i have had my car since new and never had a problem i would really like to replace them with the OEM parts. espically the rotors and pads ( i have 100,000 miles on the front and there still the original rotors and pads ;) )

eBay rotors from R1Concepts are VERY GOOD.

eBay rotors from LeCarAutomobiles are VERY BAD. I don't know why I expected quality from someone with "LeCar" in their name...

Anita told me that I should always use OEM parts- she especially mentioned brake pads, and the fact that the OEM pads last a LOT longer than any aftermarkets.

I have no problem finding other sources of quality parts.. as long as they are quality. As far as brake pads are concerned, I have 80K miles on my VX and the pads are still good with no sign to change them up yet. My Isuzu mechanic swears on the OEM pad longevity. Maybe west coast weather conditions make them last longer???

You could try "Wentz Isuzu" (1-800-937-9368), they have always treated me right...though I haven't had any dealings w/ them for over a year (haven't needed any oem parts). They're in Bismarck ND.

I just ordered a fog light switch and dome light assy from St Charles on the 3/9/06 and they arrived yesterday. Didn't seem to be a issue ordering, and no mention of them not carrying isuzu parts, and it was from another parts guy, Merlin had gone home aleady.

I believe this to be a true statement :)

The cold, wet, salty roads here in the winter will do a number on the underside of any vehicle!!!

I think it's the same on the east coast. I checked the pads on my Rodeo Sport now with +80k miles and I swear they are at the most 50% down compared to a new set of pads I ordered  And in no way did I baby the truck on the brakes, more like severe abuse in that department. Even the drum shoes are pretty much good.
