I could use sound advice from fellow VXers. I need to get new tires and my choices have come down to these two. Price difference is minimal. I am going for the "looks" factor. Please let me know what you think. I believe no clad trimming required for either one of these tires.
1. Yokohamas (255/55/18)
2. Nittos (285/50/18)
Thanks again.

the best look imho is the nitto in the 285/65/18 size.
small amounts of cladding trim are required for this size but its worth it. Others will agree on here.

I'm yet to see a picture that does the nittos justice. You can't go wrong with them.

Maugan VX, did you take a picture of my VX?
I have a 2000 Ebony with the Nitto's, too, and I love them. They really make the car look beefier and they ride great.
I wouldn't be too worried about the trimming (I know I was terrified to cut into my baby), because all you really have to do is knock a little corner of the cladding off (a triangle about 3 inches long by 1 1/2 inches high) way inside the fender well. Super simple and painless.

I use the yokos in a 265/60/18 with no trimming, fit perfectly. Ride like a dream.
