hey all, not a major problem yet.. but i figured id ask before it turns into one.. since i got the scangauge my temp has always been 179-183 without fail, until saturday.. now its running about 200, turning the ac off (i dont normally use it) brought it down to 190, but it stayed 190-195 without the ac on..

it seems that it happened right after i filled up my tank with the new 10% ethanol mix.. would that make it run a few degrees hotter?

im not too worried yet, still under halfway up the gauge, but i will be keeping an eye on it and monitoring fluids a little closer

200 is pretty normal for most vehicles these days and half way on gauge is normal. Is there a proper amount and quality of coolant in the radiator? If you've been mudding, it is very easy to clog the fins - take a garden hose and flush out the fins from the INSIDE to the out. If the octane is lower or the outside temp is up, that could cause higher combustion temps.

no real difference in outside temp.. i put in same grade fuel too.. only difference was the gas station had signs everywhere saying the gas contained up to 10% ethanol.. i know 200 is pretty standard, its right in the middle of my gauge on the dash so im not really concerned... just kinda curious as to why the sudden jump, because up until this weekend my temp was like clockwork in a 2-3 degree range and all of a sudden it jumped 10-20
